I'm considering either an invidia 3" or cobb 3" TBE, catless of course. only reason considering cobb, is because i have access port. i like the sound and price of the invidia more, but the cobb TBE is prob easier to tune. any information on fit-ment, quality, or sound would be appriciated.

I have an Invidia N1 installed by previous owner. The quality of the exhaust itself is very good, fitment and install are both great - No problems at all. The sound is the best part though... Very loud, if thats what you're looking for but the sound is the best part in my opinion! Actually got pulled over for cruising at about 55mph on the highway because the exhaust was "excessively loud"... Can't speak for the Cobb, but I've heard good things also. I bet you'll be happy either way.

Neither exhaust is "easier to tune" than the other.

i figured a 3 inch exhaust is a 3 inch exhaust, COBB or Invidia, and a tune would be the same. im liking the sound of the Invidia, the COBB is lot quieter. If i have the accessport, can i upload a map for the TBE, or am i better off having somebody tune it? if thats the case, might as well grab a bov? also i hear terrible things about intakes, should i just remove the resonator from the stock intake, or go with a COBB SF?? im more or less going for a better performance sound.

Well to an extent the OP is correct... the Cobb OTS stage II maps were designed around the Cobb TBE; all test cars were equipped with the Cobb TBE. Not that there would be much credible difference between the tunes...

I have bell outh invidia Downpipe (Catless) and the N1 resonator catback

It's pretty loud, my gf refuses to ride in my car if the silencer isn't installed. I prefer the silencer in but it rattles at low falling rpms. :/. All in all love the exhaust, huge difference with the stage II OTS Cobb map

The install was pretty easy, I've been putting off the up pipe install for a while.

Up to you. A custom tune will offer better power, response, etc. since it will be tailored to your vehicle.

The Cobb maps come with the 002 accessport. A lot of pro tunes will use an accessport or similar to load maps to the ecu. At least, that is what I've made up in my mind to justify buing the accessport.

I lik having the accessport since it also displays and logs so much information. It really helped me track down the bad spark plugs I had.

From what I understand a pro tune is more ideal and probably in the ball park of what the accessport costs.

I plan on having my car professionally tuned. I don't think the accessport and a pro tune are mutually exclusive.
