I just got a 2015 WRX about a month ago and I'm not super happy with the stock bluetooth controls etc.

I've been looking around for replacement units on the web but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot here too much.

Does anyone know of a good system that fits easily onto the stock wiring and lets the "talk" button on the steering wheel activate google assistant on my phone instead of the built in garbage menu that proxies to the phone?
Also some kind of screen mirroring via usb cable would be pretty awesome too as a bonus.

purely for reference on what I'm trying to explain, something like this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/9-1024-600-Quad-Core-Car-GPS-DVD-Player-For-Subaru-WRX-2014-2015-2016-with/32780867306.html

Thanks for the suggestions but my main concern is if these things will be just "plug n play" or will I need to order a bunch of converters or manually split cables etc.

Will it fit the hole left from the old radio or will I need to get a whole new faceplate and ho

You'll need a module to interface with your steering wheel controls. Metra makes the AWSC-1, for example.

I would go to a vendor like Crutchfield, and let them help pick out everything you'll need to get it installed.

You will need the dash kit replacement, I used Metra before and was perfect:

Also you will need an interface to integrate the steering wheel controls to the head unit.

That's exactly what I needed Gonza, thanks man!

Now for bonus points, anyone know of retailers in Canada that carry these things?
