6/1 May sales total 29,724, up 48% over tsunami-impacted May 2011. Thats the 5th record setting month in a row.

This is the first month with BRZ results and the total is 271 which means that fewer than half the dealers received one, indicating just how tight the supply is and why some - not all - dealers are marking up the price on a BRZ that is available.

Tribeca is -10% from May 2011 but continues to sell despite rumors that the end is near.

Subaru's YTD total is 136,602 which is up 21.69% over YTD 2011. In post-Tsunami May 2011, the Japan-built Impreza, WRX STI, and Forester were already in short supply.

May totals:
BRZ: 271 for May 2012
Forester: 7323, +41.02% over 5192 May 2011
Outback: 9192, +9.03% over 8431 May 2011
Legacy: 4462, +23.33% over 3618 May 2011
Impreza: 6768, +235.77% over 2021 May 2011
WRX, STI: 1515 +158.91% over 589 May 2011
Tribeca: 165, -10.33% from 184 May 2011

Canada sales: 2,802 for the month. Impreza: 974
