Just picked up a '22 WRX and will be getting separate rims/tires for the winter. I grew up in the Sierra Nevadas and we always drove Subarus with studded snow tires in the winter. My parents still live in the mountains, at 5,000 feet, and I will be skiing a lot this winter. Roads are plowed, but oftentimes there is a layer of ice/snow on the roads. And the street getting up to their house is pretty steep, and their driveway is very steep for about 20 yards then levels out.
So, get some studded snow tires, or strictly snow/ice tires? I will probably put the snow tires on around the beginning of December and remove in April.
Thanks
