SPEC would like to extend an invitation to all ClubWRX members in Oregon and Washington.

The Subaru Performance Enthusiast’s Club is hosting their first Club car tour on Saturday JULY 24th. The run begins at the Woodland, WA. “Park and Ride” lot located on the west side of Interstate No. 5 at “Exit 21, Highway 503 East”.

Participants are asked to meet between 9:00 and 9:30 A.M. and to come fully fueled and ready to go. A Driver’s meeting will be held (mandatory) at 9:45 A.M. SHARP. The first car out will begin at 10:00 A.M. Route instructions will be given out at the Driver’s Meeting. A $5.00 fee will be necessary to purchase a Northwest Forest Pass when we arrive at the mountain.

Participants are reminded that the weather at and around Mt. St. Helen’s can change during the day, so bring a good jacket, blanket and raingear. The Club will NOT be serving lunch at this event. There is a snack bar/gift shop located at Windy Ridge where the tour will stop for lunch. Participants can also bring their own lunch. The snack bar has outside tables where we can gather to eat.

We expect to arrive at the mountain between 12:30 and 1:00 P.M. There are numerous gas and bathroom stops along the way as well as a few scenic stops where participants can photograph their car against some of Washington’s most beautiful overlooks. The group will spend two hours at the mountain before gathering at 3:00 P.M. for the return trip home. The total route will cover approximately 170 miles.

To arrive at the meeting place from Portland, take Interstate No. 5 NORTH to Woodland and Exit 21. At the stop light at the end of the ramp, turn LEFT and proceed under the freeway. Proceed through the next stop light one block to Lakeshore Drive. You will see the Park and Ride lot on your left along with the Woodland Visitor’s Center.

From parts to the North of Woodland, proceed SOUTH on Interstate No. 5 to the “Exit 21 503 East – Woodland & Cougar” off-ramp. The ramp turns into the west frontage road and proceed south 0.6 miles to a fork in the frontage road. Proceed straight (bear right) to the stop sign. Proceed straight 0.1 mile to Lakeshore Drive and the Park and Ride on the left. SEE YOU THERE!
