Hey everyone i have a 2017 premium and i cannot set favorite stations for some reason. All my channels say xm preview even though ive paid and activated the radio for the whole year. Sirius xm was no help in finding out why.

I do not want to hijack your thread, but I have no clue how to set favorites. I have just been using the dial and scrolling though :(

I would call xm again and have them run the activation. Mine was immediate upon making the initial call after delivery
Lol about the hijack! ? I have reset the radio twice! I have all the channels with the correct icons but...when i go to view them in ascending order they all saw xm preview and dont allow me to star them as favorites. Maybe its just not possible with this type of oem display unit?!
IIRC put the radio on a station you like then bring up preset menu. You click and hold the favorite button you want and it will load the current station into the preset. Kinda wonky compared to other radios.

My Sirius expired and I'm kinda on the fence about it. I've enjoyed it when I've had it--a couple of years in total--but right now I mainly listen to local NPR or stream music through my phone. The iTunes radio feature is pretty good and better than Pandora much of the time. And better than Sirius DJ's a lot of the time as well.
What I had to do to activate my XM was let the radio sit on channel 1 for a minute or so. If it doesn't start getting channels, you have to call and have them send a refresh signal to the car and then it should work.

Once you get it activated, Doctor Jeff gave you the right info on how to save favorites.
Thanx everyone the help was huge! I was able to set all my channels and figured out what was going on ;)

Local NPR stations are the most quality sound waves I have listened to on my radio
I agree, it took me like about 2 weeks to figure out how to set the stupid favorites.
It's exactly like Doctor Jeff said. I've only found 2-3 stations that I even like, but I hate radio stations, and don't want to hear the CDs or iPhone sometimes
Nice that we all get to choose. Just came back from a 4,000+ mile road trip in our WRX and loved all the great XM channels we listened to -- even in totally isolated places where we did not see a car in our lane nor the opposite direction lane for sometimes over 20 minutes at a time.
I liked a couple channels on XM but did not continue after the free period.
I know XJman loves the hair-metal stations they have!
Hair Nation FTW!!! Not sure I can live without it after the trial. We shall see...
