Should I tent my Subaru?

I know some of you may find this thread unnecessarily inflammatory, but I was thinking of adding a bit of tent to my Subaru.

It would definitely add protection from the elements, especially in the summer months.

Some people think it might increase the risk of accidents, and I guess it could, if were implemented excessively. I was thinking of going with a 30, whereas some people might go as low as a 20 (CF).

I definitely wouldn't be driving the thing at night!

Anyway, all opinions respected!

Clearly the obvious answer here is "yes." I was wary to open this because of the spelling/tint thread yesterday but so glad I did. Thank you for the smile!

Make sure you tent your windshield, too....

i would be wary of this, if a bear attacks your car, park rangers may say you were asking for it

Oh, shoot. You're totally right. You could be held liable because of your tent job. Hmmmm

I had a Little Guy teardrop trailer I towed with a VW Jetta, the WRX will tow one just fine.

For some reason manufacturers list no towing in the USDM - for a WRX the same exact car in Australia gets rated at 1500 pounds trailer weight. I'd not be worried about a 1000lb trailer with a 100 lb. tongue weight.

Those are pretty cool, little bit spendy though.
About the towing, I wish I looked into it better or read a manual before purchasing. The salesperson told me light towing was ok only to find different. I used a small trailer on my honda fit for years with no problem (only items like a few 2x4's I didn't want to put in the car).
