Scraped the side of my car on this white metal pole today. Scrubbing it made it look a bit better (last 2 photos) but there's definitley deeper damage done to the car. It went through the clear coat and chipped off the paint and there's also a clear indentation/deformity of the rear side panel behind the passenger door.

What's the best way to go about fixing this? Detailing place at a car wash? Auto-body shop? I'm probably the least handy person possible so i doubt a DIY fix would be sufficient considering the extent of the damage. If you guys thing it'd be possible, let me know. Last thing i want to do is go to the dealer and waste hundreds of dollars.

If you want it done right, you should definitely go to an auto-body shop. Ask around for a trusted on in your area. A dealer will rake you across the coals.

Good luck!

Auto body. It looks like the panels are damaged.
