How do you know it's running rich?

The only way to tell if it's running rich or lean would be to look at the readings from an O2 sensor. You either need a wideband hooked up, or log the readings from your front O2 sensor.

For what it's worth, catless exhaust is going to have a raw smell to it, whether you're running rich or not.

Factory front O2 doesn't read below 11:1, which is right about where you want to be.

WBO2 readings or nothing.

You're not going to want to be near that rich at idle or cruising. The only time you're going to want to be as rich as 11.1 to 1 is at WOT. At idle and under low load it should be around 14.7:1. The factory O2 readings should be plenty sufficient to see if the car is running stoich under all conditions other than the highest load levels.

Yes, in CL, you should be stoich. The factory O2 is only useful for cruise conditions. A WBO2 is useful @ cruise / under load.
