Resistors
I'm really not electronic savvy at all. So, I'm trying to bypass my EGT. Bestbuy had some resistors but it was 3.01k 1/4 Watt ones. They were free from the geek squad dudes that work there. Would that be ok to do use it? Or do I need 2.2K 1/2 Watt ones specifically?

You don't have to spring for 0.01% Vishay, any resistor will do, but it does have to be the correct value. You're trying to fool a computer.
Yes, basically what the others said. It needs to be 2.2K ohm or else it will still produce a CEL. Been down this road before lol
