I live in torrington, CT. Is it better to go hartford and take route 91 north to st johnsbury VT. Then take route 2 east to Maine. That was how my hotel website said. ON map quest it says to go I-84 to mass pike(I-90). then go to I-290 worcester adn then I495north etc to Us202 to ME-108N to US2. It says its a 5.5hours and 304 miles. I am leaving thursday morning so it really isnt much of a big deal but i was courious what is better. I figure if i take 91north to rt 2 it will be mostly back roads but scenic and if i take the second idea it will be mostly interstate roads for most of the ride. Please give any suggestions on either route . If you vote for the first route please let me know how rt2 is as far as one lane road traffic etc. And how many hours will i be driving on it for. thanks for the help

Take 95 to Maine Turnpike to Auburn exit (they changed the exit numbers, I don't know the actual number now).
Rt4 to rt108
once near Mexico/Rumford goto rt2 to 120 or stay on 108 to 120.
