There doesn't seem to be a thread. Was I supposed to do that today too? Whatever, I don't remember. I need to remember where the Dr Pepper machine is... maybe that will help me out enough so I can remember where the Starbucks is....

I am utterly alone....?

I had gum in my pocket when I left home. Wrigley's Doublemint. It's gone now. Even it abandoned me.

I'd like to thank Caffeine for helping me get back from New Mexico. Took the Evo out to stretch her legs. She did great. Well, except for the fact that I had to install the silencer into the muffler so that the wife wouldn't go crazy. Makes a big difference in power for sure.

Glad to see you made it back alive and safe...how did the car run down there? Springs affect the long distance trip or not noticeable?

The ride really wasn't bad at all. The only rough spot was the great highway condition in Colorado Springs.

I did hit a rock that was in the middle of the road that I thought I could clear. I guess it was bigger than I though. No damage though. I was surprised that Terri didn't complain once about the ride. The silencer made it pretty quite in the cab. I did take it out for a little bit in town and it drove so much better. The price you pay for quiet.

Damn, I can't believe how much money I loss at those damn casino's! No luck there.

In May, the Columbus (Ohio) City Council approved a building permit for the Faith Christian Center ("On Fire for God") to construct a 52,000-square-foot commercial complex centered on an indoor skateboard park, and including a restaurant, arcade and pro shop, named Godz Xtreme Power Park. [Columbus Dispatch, 5-11-04]

Officials investigating an explosion inside Villa Hermosa prison in Cali, Colombia, in May (which killed three inmates and wounded 15) concluded, using the process of elimination, that the only way the grenade could have gotten into the facility was to have been smuggled in by a certain, unnamed female visitor earlier that day. According to a Reuters News Service dispatch, authorities concluded that she must have hidden the grenade in a body cavity because that's the only place guards are not allowed to search. [Reuters, 5-11-04]

Kenny Borger survived a one-car crash in upstate New York on May 1, but his passenger was killed, and Borger decided to surreptitiously bring the body home to Hamilton, N.J., in the damaged car and then figure out what to do next. What he decided on was to commandeer a backhoe one night from a previous employer, scoop up the body, drive it about five miles out of town, dig a 13-foot-deep hole with the backhoe, and bury the body. He was later arrested and charged with tampering with evidence. Said Mercer County prosecutor Joseph Bocchini Jr., describing Borger's plan, "I couldn't make this stuff up."
