So I’ve been doing a lot of research about oil for my 2013 wrx. I currently use Mobil 1 5w-30. I hear from a lot of Subaru people about Rotella t6 5w-40. I live in Pennsylvania with changing temperatures. Is t6 a better oil for my car?

The way to know is to do a used oil analysis.

Or you can look on Bob is the Oil Guy for used or analyses and see other people's data.

I've not been to Pennsylvania in decades but I remember it being below 0 in winter. If all else is equal (see Bob's site's data) then see what the cold viscosity is for both oils and how pumpable they'll be below freezing temps and go from there.

My bugeye consumed more M1 than Shell or Motul for what it's worth (zero; it's worth absolutely zero).
