"Your WRX weighs about 3300 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 13 seconds. That means that you've got about 296.87 HP at the wheels, and about 385.94 HP at the flywheel."

This is the funniest thread I've read in a while. I'm guessing part of the reason it's so off is that it doesn't take into account the WRXs AWD launch, which improves the quarter mile times. It probably figures for a FWD or RWD car.

Those are just estimates, I'm sure they don't claim accuracy

Does anyone know the specs of a RWD car to put in there to see if it gives anything close to the mark for that?

Your Z weighs about 100 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 60 seconds. That means that you've got about .9 HP at the wheels, and about 12 HP at the flywheel.

"Your Bug weighs about 2000 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 12.79 seconds. That means that you've got about 188.93 HP at the wheels, and about 245.61 HP at the flywheel."

Eh its a bit off!! Its a lil over on the HP at the fly wheel for the set up i know. the engine is a 2180cc Dual port with Dual 44's. I would say it does more like 175 at fly wheel.

Your c6 corvette weighs about 3245 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 12.7 seconds. That means that you've got about 313.11 HP at the wheels, and about 407.04 HP at the flywheel.

c6 makes 400 hp at the crank. (all taken from car and driver/chevy)

not bad for the RWD cars

edit - 400 crank hp, not wheel (read too many sigs on here)

It is roughly accurate for a RWD car.

Your 98 Trans Am weighs about 3750 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 13.9 seconds. That means that you've got about 275.98 HP at the wheels, and about 358.77 HP at the flywheel.
I dynoed my TA and it figured out to 362 at the crank (Assuming a 15% driveline loss which is accurate for a TA). And when you figure in that it was at 80% humidity and my first night at a track, it is close.
