Is it normal when in idle, you can feel the car shake once in awhile?

What is the the black part of the door made out of? Seems like it scratches easily, what can I use to help minimize scratches?

2017 WRX, Feels more like a rough idle but the idle does not fluctuate. Just feel that rough idle feel in a second once in a great while.

I'll probably wait until it gets worse. Don't think dealer will able to replicate it since it happens intermittently.

I don't hear the engine missing a beat or odd noises. Probably just a weak motor mount.

General consensus says it's quite normal, my car has done it since day one, now at 11k miles it's gotten a lot less. if you google "2015 wrx idle shake" you can read the thousands of posts on the topic.

Sorry for the confusion, it's not a rough idle, it just felt like rough idle for a second. No pattern of the infamous shake with the A/C off or on.

My 2017 does this as well. It doesn't idle too rough, but every 4-5 seconds it will idle a little rougher than the few seconds preceding that. I consider it normal.

Its very normal, especially people who aren't used to the rumble(and if you run your AC at'll). As far as the scratches there isn't much you can do about that short of replacing the pieces or putting a clear coat over it(I don't recommend).

Its normal, my 2017 does the same thing, its part of the WRX charm. My 2004 did something similar.

Some love it and some hate it but, you could Plasti dip those areas to minimize scratching. Black base with a slight sheen top coat to make it look close to original. The black base is matte.

I own a 2011 hatch WRX and mine vibrates very little but its probably because of the inline 4 engine type.... nothing to the point where I would be concerned about my vehicle.

Yes you could wrap too. Many wrap. I suggest not getting the half hood as you can see the line where it stops and over time dirt will collect.

Okay thanks for the heads up, hopefully the wrap doesn't scratch as easy like the door pillars do.
