1. Who makes the base 6MT transmission? Does Subaru make it themselves or another 3rd-party like Aisin or JATCO?
2. Is it the same 6MT as is used in the BRZ?
3. Are its gears and synchros much stronger than the old 2002 era WRX 5MT? I heard that this 6MT uses the same case as the old 5MT, but with a different gear set. Is that true?
4. Does it have a hard 1-2 shift or any other smoothness issues or quirks like the old 5MT?
