Hand brake, Analog Gauges, no Auto Start/Stop, keyed ignition, no "Eyesight", roomy interior, I fell in love. Only mods soo far is a Spare tire, OEM Mudflaps, and Oem vent visors. Love this thing! Base model ordered with no options. Glad to be here.

Many of the same reasons I bought the base model. I love mine!

And no sunroof! I like riding inside my dark coffin and I don't like the extra weight of a sunroof up top and potential for leaks.

My car isn't dark, even tinted with 18% tint. There is a lot of glass and excellent visability. I hate sunroofs because at 6'5" I don't like my hair brushing the roof. A sunroof eats up a couple of inches of headroom and I never use them. Who wants all that dust in their car?

Sunroofs are probably the least used options on most newer cars since they are automatically included on higher trim levels. This is a shame as sunroofs are expensive and have many downsides. If you use your sunroof regularly it's worth having since they can be fun. I used to insist on having one, but after owning a Convertible and a Targa top car a sunroof isn't worth the downsides, especially the loss of headroom.

You are correct. Even if it's a nice day, driving around with the sunroof open provides little more than wind noise. You don't really get that open air experience like you get in a convertible. You just get searing sun on your head (and when you're balding like me...that equals skin cancer...lol!), you get dust and road grime in your car, and you get to deal with potential leaks, clogged drains, mechanism issues, and a few more pounds located high up on the car.

My wife's car has a sunroof. I will sometimes pull back the shade, but I can't say that I've ever opened it other than when we bought the car just to see if it worked. My wife closes the shade...as she doesn't like the glare of the light coming in.
