Hey, sorry if this has already been covered, I couldn't seem to find it. How long is the suggested break in period for a 2020 wrx. Also, how long would you drive it before starting to mod it? I'll attach a couple pictures of my new wrx. I'm glad to finally be a part of the wrx club lol.

Break in is whatever the manufacturer recommends.

I would at least wait until the warranty has expired, or you have enough cash to replace the engine if it feels like going. Isn't common, but it happens enough that it's worth mentioning.

From memory (not the best resource, for sure), the FA20 engine is to be kept below 4,500 (4,000?) RPMs for the first 1,500 miles. There is to be no wide open throttle pulls in that period.

I happen to be an oil change fanatic. I changed the oil at 500 miles and at 1,500 miles and again at 3,000.

I don't recommend modifying the engine. I am of the opinion that if the car is not fast enough, buy a faster car. Way too many heartbreak stories of minor modifications and warranty claims denial.
