hey everyone just purchased the new 11 wrx limited... with winter coming i do need some help anyone have any suggestions for winter wheels i am from ohio lol.. :thumbup:

Congrats on the car! Sorry I'm no help with tires as I'm from San Diego and really dont have much for winter. I'm sure someone here can help you out

welcome and congrats! i ordered set of 16" alloy wheels and winter tires from tire rack, cost me about 1k, less if i chose steelies which isn't that bad looking it's just i wanted something nice since i gonna wear it for at least 3 mos.

Welcome to the forum. Im not good with winter tires either. Maybe some good all seasons will be ok?

Welcome aboard. You definitely want winter tires, as the summer rubber is just bad in slippery winter conditions. Summer rubber is not meant for cold temps. Get onto Tirerack or one of its online competitors and price out wheels and tires. You do not want to swap tires on and off rims as the potential for rim damage is not worth it. You can buy cheap alloys or steelies, but get quality tires. I went with cheaper alloys for the same reason jamir22 said - might as well look good for the 4+ winter months. I actually like the fact that I get to change up the look as well. I went with the Dunlop winter tires and they have performed well for me. I think all in all it was just over a grand for the wheels and tires. I skipped the TPMS and have no problem ignoring the warning light for a couple months. To me it was not worth the money and the time of having to get them reset when the tires are switched.

well already Subaru getting me aggravated so they told me the wrx would be in on the 10th i said ok ...which it did come in Monday night at like 5 they called..she says well since u wanted the short throw installed everything should wrapped up on Sunday at about 230 ..i said 5 days for a short throw and they said yea and the few other things they do... finnaly she told me they have a meting in pa about the new 12 impreza and i pretty much said how should that affect me...beause my sales person is gonna be out of town i have to wait till Sunday for my car and let it sit at the dealer for 5 days

That sucks. For now you are at their mercy unless you really want to make an issue of it. You could remind them that the way they deal with you now will impact where you have it serviced.
