I recently purchased a 2002 WRX sedan with approx. 114k on the stock engine. I installed triple pillar gauges and have noticed that I'm only boosting a maximum of 6lbs. I have no CEL's but a definite lack in power. My vacuum gauge is reading correctly so I believe all my lines are intact. Should I look into replacing the turbo itself or are there other causes for this issue? I'm just looking for guidance and options, thank you.

Check for vacuum leaks, and if the car was previously modified, suspect you are running minimum "wastegate" pressure due to mods being replaced incorrectly. There is a diagramme somewhere on the site of the correct boost control connections, including the restrictor pill; have a look around. The turbo does not sound like the problem.
