I'm trying to install a mirror tap on my 2017 wrx. It looks like the 2017 WRX Mirror is different than previous years - as it doesn't have the little junction box that you can just pull out. Instead it has a cord that actual goes into the mirror. Has anyone ever dealt with this before? Help!

That's a bit odd... so there's no removable connector on the end that goes in the mirror?

Yes - there's no removable connector. My guess is that it's housed in the actual mirror.

They probably hidden the connectors for cleaner looks. Better placement if it is in the actual mirror.

Hate to say it but looks like you're going to have to put a slit in the wire loom and find the positive/negative to tap into if you really want to use a mirror tap. The other method would be to run the power to your fuse box with an "add-a-fuse".

I just ran my tap a fuse wire for my Escort... did it in 5 minutes.
