Hey just looking at getting a getting a 2005 wrx but it has gotten in a crash. He says it is a repairable write off just wondering what you People think. Will it be easy to fix? Apparently no damage to chassis rails.

Depends on where you live. The same damage on my legacy cost about 6k to repair

The value of that car with the salvage title is a few hundred bucks

Also you don’t know what other problems are hiding in there not relative to the crash…

A lot of choices in life are what I call Gambles, up to you to decide if you jump or not.

Let’s just say that a crashed & repaired car isnt always the most attractive in my heart, even if you don’t even notice after you know its been crashed.

Doesnt appear the trunk closing or gaps are impacted. Check the trunk well for spare tire area deformation. Make sure the gas tank was not impacted. A rear wheel alignment check could reveal something.
Also depends on the asking price. You could always ask the owner for a body shop estimate - usually free.
