Hey guys I recentley got a 2017 wrx and was wondering what are some of the first mods I should do? For example tint percentage and exterior mods. Was also wondering what type of 10 inch sub i should get. Thanks! Looking forward to being in the WRX family.

Are you prepared to give up your factory warranty and/or shell out $6k+ if the Engine or Transmission grenade? Do you recognize that any mods that you put into the car do not increase the value and that it is not an investment?

Just want to make sure you sign off on above before proceeding to the next step.

Also, please make only one thread.

Your response is very concerning as it seems you are not taking my advice to heart. That was merely a disclaimer and it seems that you wish to respond poorly to helpful advice that doesn't immediately scratch your itch. As I was prepared to help you out before, now I'm not motivated to do so. Enjoy your stay and hopefully you will eventually reflect on the way that you respond.
Congrats and welcome! I do 35% tint up front and 5% in rear. That's always worked for me. You can also debadge the rear for a clean look. Clear bras up front aren't a bad idea either. Subs...IDK...been out of the audio game for a while. Look into a catback exhaust if you want a fun mod that won't mess with your warranty. The ETS 'quiet' catback with resonator sounds great on the FA motor. I got one and it sounds great...nice build quality too. Just break it in properly and enjoy it for a while otherwise.
i see snow.. first mod.. winter tires

Aye!
Yep. For posterity, here was the original post from the OP that was 'changed' to make my statement seem irrelevant.

Love where this is going!
Do you want to make more power or just mod the look of your car? BTW welcome to the club!
thanks man! I was thinking 30% in the front but i wasn't sure if that was too dark, but I was hoping for a pretty dark tint. A lot of great tips thank you.
I was hoping for more exterior mods and some simple mods like exhaust and intake

intake needs to be tuned for and certain types of exhaust need to be tuned for so do some research first and save yourself a headache. I would like to reinforce that winter tires are more important than anything else if you live in a wintery region which I'm assuming you do because of the snow in that one picture. WRXs come factory equipped with summer performance rubber and are not recommended for use under 55°F

Oh that's great to know thank you. I was also wondering if there are j pipes or any sort of upgrade i could use to make the stock exhaust sound a tiny bit louder.
Take a look at Nameless axle back exhausts. They will not need a tune and will only give your car more sound.

CAI will need a tune like RichD514 stated and really is only for sound which I like. The COBB Accessport is most peoples go to tuner. With their stage 1 tune it'll unlock a lot of the cars potential but may void your warranty.

I have the COBB turbo back exhaust and really like the sound and the added power. FYI this may or may not void your warranty.

With the threads I've seen around various Subaru boards with burning out the biu I wouldn't wire anything that isn't in there from the factory.

I don't like tint on the front at all, and barely tolerate it in the rear. It's super personal, but if you drive a lot at night I would avoid it on the front windows.

Personally suspension mods go a long way to feel and engagement. Always something to look into. Sway bars, better tires, stainless lines, and brakes all have a direct feel.

Ya tint on the front side windows are a pain in the ass at night, but when you live on the sun like me they are a must to keep the temps down.
