my gf just bought a 05 wrx that was in an accident, and is getting a misfire on 1 &3 only. rough idle but isnt noticable driving. imma do a compression test, leakdown test and check plugs and coils and also check mechanical timing to see if it jumped. does anyone have any other ideas what it could be?

i was wondering if timing belt jumped how far would it have to jump to bend valves.

replaced timing belt, fired it up and still misfires, did a compression test. came back 150 and 120 with cold motor. swapped plugs and coils, didnt help. spark plugs were a nice brown color so its not running lean and there were not wet or anything so its burning the fuel..

Still have to do a leakdown test, and is there a way to check cam sensor?

also If anyone has a coil pack connector for sale let me know.

leakdown test passed. but now after installing new timing belt and having everything timed right, it wont start and if it does it doesnt rev up. unplugging mass air flow sensor doesnt help

now im getting a cam sensor code, but swapping in new sensor doesnt change anything.

also now cylinder 2 and 3 misfire. spark is good and swapped in new plugs.
