Well, the car thief got the best of me this time. The one night that I parked my Miata out on the driveway was also the one night that I left my wallet in there for them to slash my top and take both my wallet and my escort 8500. It'll cost $1400 to fix the top not to mention all the cc and account hassle. :(

Thank goodness my wife's WRX was not touched.

On a side note, I've been looking for a car to replace my Miata as soon as its fixed (I have no desire to keep a convert after this incident as much as i like this car). I found this near my house. Is this a good buy and a good deal?

Car I'm considering

Edit: its got 11k on it. Custom build sub hidden in trunk, custom sound system, 9 lb gunmetal bbs wheels, Axleback is gone?? (it sounded really mean after I convince them to let me take it for a test drive.) Tinted... etc.

Thx guys. My insurance is making me pay my deductible ($500), I'm just so deathly afraid that after I get it repaired that it will happen again. I just not emotionally or financially ready to deal with this :(

No use having a convert in Kansas anyways right? :wiggles:

absolute trash...

last night when I got home I was taking off my clothes in my room when I heard a car stroll by and a bottle smash. I know it's NO WHERE NEAR what you went through, but still...it sucks to know that there is trash out there

Well guys, looks like I'll be getting that Sti! They'll take my Miata as is for $16,250. I owe $16,000. With the tax savings, i'd have to try to sell the car at around $17,900 myself to match the tax savings I'd get by trading.

I won't have to deal with getting that thing repair and the Sti is always what I wanted.

I'll keep you guys posted. Thx for everyone's support!

note: I ran a credit report and froze most if not all my accounts. Hopefully he can't do much more to me except he still has my ss card and driver's id..... :confused1

Well do Greg ;)

The shifting will take some getting used to on the Sti though. I've been so used to the fluild like shifts with the Miata, which is one of the best shifting and handling car I've driven. The Sti feels very precise and almost clunky. I'll give you a ring sometime and we can grab some muchies.

Btw, have you set a date with your girl yet?

Haha if you mean Sara....no. We broke up about a month or so ago...that girl just had too many issues...

Let me know when you get the STi and start getting parts for it. I'll help ya do some wrench work. As strange as it may seem I love working on the subies. Even if they do break my hands every now and then:mad:
