Lowest offset with largest width?

Just wondering what everyone was able to get to fit in their wheel wells without rubbing and without spacers. What were the wheels, wheel models and so forth.

Also what year and model is your wrx/sti?

For what it's worth, I had +42 18x8.5 Rota Subzeros with 235/40r/18s on my 2002 WRX, Tein Flex coilovers, then later Eibach lowering springs, -1.6º camber in the rear and the rear fenders would rub.. even after rolling them there was still some contact.
Wonder if it would rub with 225?

Probably not, but I would go with a more narrow wheel also, like 7.5". Even 235s on the 8.5" wide wheel didn't stick out far enough to provide any wheel protection from curb rash and stuff like that.
See? My m3 has spoiled me, I ran 245 Continental Extreme Contacts with 17x 8.5 + 41 in the rear. That's Stock..

And I could have a +20 offset if I wanted.

I think I will go narrow with more beefy tires. That looks better anyway.
