Hey guys, so i have low compression in cylinder 2, cyl 1=148 cyl 2= 89 cyl 3= 152 cyl 4=133. leak down test: cyl 1 4% cyl 2 0 50-60% crank cyl 3 6% cyl 4 8%. so my question is what can i do? should i get a whole new short block?

That’s what I would do. Used or rebuilt engine a will not be as reliable.

You need to tear the block down and assess what has happened.

With low compression AND low leakdown, it could be anything, but a burned valve or cracked piston isn't off the table.
