I am working on reinstalling the stock EJ205 motor back in my 2002 WRX wagon. The right side lower stud bolt on the engine block has come loose. It took a bit of beating on my first failed attempt at reinstalling the motor. I can rotate it by hand approximately half a turn before it stops but I cannot thread it out by hand. I am not sure if those are just torqued into the engine block or thread locked or what. Any advice on the best course of action to repair this loose stud? Double nut and torque it? Remove and reinstall /replace? I don't know the condition of the threads inside the block and don't want to strip or damage them...hopefully I haven't already. Any help would be appreciated.
