Looking for a 2004-2007 Subaru WRX

I'm a 17 year old high school student wanting to get into the WRX scene and i've been on the lookout for one for about 4 months now but no one is selling, I live in the Raleigh area and i'm hoping to find something relatively close (within 150-200 miles). I am looking to get one with 110k miles or less and my budget is around 12k. My parents aren't letting me get a blue one, sadly, so preferably black or white but silver is acceptable.

Thanks

I will advise you as most young people get advised here.

Use some sense and put that money into college and buy something less expensive and more reliable. If you need a car to be cool or get girls you need to do some personal improvement first.

Also, this thread is a huge reason I don't support young kids in a car like this. This story isn't remotely unique.

...ouch :zing:

As someone that just came out of college and bought a WRX, I would honestly say this is good advice. Buy an older car ($2-4,000), put a little money in it (less than $1500), get your hands dirty... you won't be as disappointed when you break something, you'll save a lot of money, and you'll still have fun.

Buy you're WRX when you get out of college and you have a decent income ...these cars are money pits. Not cause they're unreliable, but because they reliably convince you to dump more money into them.
