If those are laser based radar jammers I'd be curious to know how they work.

All the ones I've seen used personally are 100% gimmick.

I have a set on my denali and been on there for about 5 years . These are escorts zr3 shifters and I use a 9500ix as the display . These are older but still work with the lidar systems . I found a set on eBay brand new 4 years ago and it was just sitting in the closet . They do work and there is a video on YouTube under zr3 shifters .

Yes they are illegal to use but not install if that makes sense . What makes them useful and legal per say is be because the jammers can be turned off via the mute button .

I'm aware, laser/radar, its all a radar gun when the police have them pointed at you.
Nope it’s not , radar uses a antenna built in the car , it has one in the front and the back of the car and uses KA frequency between 33 and 36 GHZ , laser is a gun that gets pointed at you and uses laser . I build police cars and know they are different . So basically freq. or light putting it in understandable terms . Both do the same thing pretty much and see your point also .

Or... just don't go more than 8-9 over?
Well like anything if you zoom by a cop over 20 your surely to get pulled over but if your like 10 to 15 in most cases you can slow enough to a sensible speed , because if the first time he scans you and if there is a error you can turn off at a lower speed and most cases won’t pull you over .

I think the resident law enforcement officer knows how he handles things.

They won't work every time, you have to aim the laser directly at them. Where I work we don't have front plates so we aim for the bumper and that works 90%+ of the time. If I hit an area and don't get a reading I move to another part of the car. Unless you are going so fast I don't have time to change spots, but at that point you bought your ticket.

Well nothing is guaranteed to work all the time but from my experience on having more than one car with them it’s saved me many times than I can think of and that being said is way worth it .I’m not a speed racer per say and that’s why it works so well for me .

Modern LIDAR systems uses a beam of light the size of a pencils eraser. Unless they aim DIRECTLY at the sensor and the sensor aims DIRECTLY at the LIDAR system they don't do anything. My buddies department switched to LIDAR because the jammers are a hoax. You do you though. I guess placebo has proven effective.

Are you saying laser shifters are or hoax or radar ? Again having access to the lidar gun it was tested to work with my denali when I had them put on years ago. It’s based on where it’s pointed is key but from my experience and testing it worked well .

Laser jammers.

You do you. May have worked 20 years ago but those days are long gone fella. You do you. Police departments started moving away from jammable lidar 5 or 6 years ago. Even my podunk ass city has modern systems.

If you say so , most motor cycle cops still use them , as a mater of fact I just built 4 of them for a department last week in which I installed laser gun holders ,The point is I had it and I put it on my car and if it saves me one time , that alone paid for it . 👍
