So, yeah sometimes I have half baked ideas...and sometimes I act on them. In my opinion this one is/was pretty epic. I needed a coffee table for my catch all guitar/chill room.

After looking at many coffee tables that sucked, and getting sticker shock, I had an epiphany in a moment of beer fueled manliness. And such the turbo table was born.

After a proof of awesomeness CAD model:

I scored a free turbo that had been returned defective from a buddies company, and set about acquiring all the elbows, flange and straight pipe. Cue a well timed glass top Craigslist coffee table score for $40 and the ball went rolling fast.

It's made out of heavy wall 1.75" polished stainless tubing mig welded together.

Yeah I thought about that, like adding a fan to an up pipe. It can always be added
Would a 12v pc cooling fan generate enough air flow to move it?

No need. A small cooling fan motor from a PC hidden inside the hotside and hooked directly to the wheel will do it, and do it quietly.

I didn't make a drawing of the finished product ahead of time, just mocked it up and had it in my head. I cut/fabd/ welded everything in 6 hours yesterday. Then finished it up this morning in an hour or so.

Nice design.
