All,

Anyone know of any products that are perhaps like a net or something that
can catch bugs before they impale themselves on my intercooler?

My 05 STI intercooler is like a bug magnet? Didn't know if any company sold
a product or something that would keep the bugs out. I'm taking a road trip
in a week or two and would perfer not to an armada of insects plugging up my
intercooler.

Thanks,
Bryan

I don't get that many bugs. I wonder why. I live in the southeast, which has its fair share of multi-legged arthropods.

What the hell. drive as fast as you can so the wind deflects higher over the hood after deflecting off of the front fascia. That way the bugs go over the windshield too.;)

Me thinks the Screen thing be difficult on the STI

My problem is on the STI, the scoop is much larger, and I've already got some bugs, which aren't fun to get out.

Furthermore in the hood scoop there is a plastic housing that routes the air down onto the intercooler, which a rubber'ish gasket that seals down around the outside of the intercooler.

So how would I put a screen into this equasion? I can't just set the screen on the intercooler itself can I? Since that air routing assembly is connected to the hood how do you propose installing some sort of screen?

Thanks,
Bryan
