Hi guys
New to the website and fairly new to subarus, have had lots of hondas and toyotas but with winter 5 months of the year here in canada awd is alot better choice for me. I have been looking for a wrx to buy and have a chance to purchase a 1994 jdm wrx sedan all registed and in canada. The car is in great shape going to take it for a drive this week to see how well its working. But my main question is, are the jdm cars alot different than the north american cars? Parts wise if my biggest concern, if something breaks or just needs to be replaced will I be able to get it from my local dealer or easily online? When it comes time for a timing belt change is the subaru dealer going to scatch his head and laugh when I roll in with it? I have owned a jdm MR2 and it shaped all its parts mostly with american ones so it was never an issue but I dont know about subarus. Any help would be great or if any one knows of anythings to check on these jdm cars before purchase.
Alex
