So to start off, I have a 2004 WRX with an EJ25 shortblock and stock heads. Now I know that it's possible to swap a JDM engine with AVCS into a wrx and all you need is some wiring mods a JDM ECU and a competent tuner and bing bang boom you have AVCS. Now I'm curious if it's possible to swap only the AVCS heads onto a stock block (with the supporting stuff oc) and by extension, would it be possible for me to put AVCS heads (either the intake only of dual cam versions) onto my EJ25 block?

I ask because I'm planning on getting hybrid combustion chamber machining done and I figure "hey if its possible to get avcs on the car, best do it now so I only have to spend all this money on custom machine work once". So what do y'all think? Is it possible and equally important, plausible?

Responsible? Probably not. An STI would be cheaper, achieve your goals, AND have higher long-term resale.
