So I have a 2011 wrx with a stage 1 hwg acn91 map via ap. Within the last month an a half my a/f learning (1a) will gradually jump up to ~+10% at idle only for a short while. Less than a day. Then taper back down to the normal parameter of ~+5%.

Tried looking it up and have been steered toward the notion of a vaccuum leak. But that would only happen if it consistently rose to and stayed at ~+10 no?

I'm thinking I could possibly have a failing MAF. Anyone else wanna chime in and give their opinion?

Thanks in advance.

Clean the MAF first for sure, because it is easiest, cheapest, and most likely to fix the problem.

Look up some directions -note sensor is up inside not the obvious heater bulb you will see.

When you put it back it has to go in the same way (pretty obvious).

I've seen big sky's thread on the $5, 5 min later.
I guess the other thing I should look at is the o-ring on the maf. I'll take it off tomorrow and look at it then report back

Cleaned the maf. I was ~+5 at idle. For a few days. Pumped has today and it jumped up to around +7 then tapered backdown to 3.69
