How many people interesting in getting oil cooler?

Today, I stoped by Earl's shop and got some idea.

I'm thinking putting this to the kit like Sti one without paying that much money.

brief spec

- same dimention as STi cooler with 34 Row.
- AN fitting.
-stainless line with some insulation.
-sandwitch adaptor with or without thermostat.
-mounting hardware.

What do you think??
Give me your input.

I've been thinking about something similar, however, I've been thinking about mounting the oil cooler where the stock tmic sits (since it will be moved with a fmic). Space is available up there, there is a scoop already, and alot of real estate up front is already taken up with the radiator and fmic.

I think you can mount on both ways.
Just put extra long tubing to the TMIC location.
Also. may be different size of oil cooler to match the size of IC opening on the hood.

They have lots of different size of oil cooler on the display to tryout the size.

I'm thinking mounting just like a STI oil cooler.

if you get the oil cooler the best place to put it is on the left side fog light. just get a fog light cover and fresh air here we come

Do you mean inside left fender behind left fog light?

I think it will be long tubing than mounting on original STi oil coller position.

Will longer tubing affect performance of oil cooler?

I saw Blitz makes a very affordable oil cooler core. I think its like $250 or something.... Im thinking about fabricating my own! No sense in paying $1600 for an STI oil cooler just because it has a pink STI logo on it. I'll paint on a fake STi logo... haha

I forget where I saw the blitz core for sale............

O.K
I taked shop today about pricing.

they gonna give me whearhouse price (40-50%off), but i have to order minimum $2500 to qualify that price.

I'm still planning parts for this oil kit and try to keep price under $300 with good parts (Earl's parts)

again this is brief spec

brief spec

- same dimention as STi cooler with 34 Row (10.5x9) or 25 Row(7.75x9).
- AN fitting (90deg, straight).
-stainless line with some insulation (flame guard insulation 1600C).
-sandwitch adaptor with thermostat (Open 160F, Fully Open 180F).
-mounting hardware.

What do you think??
Give me your input.

How much for just the sandwich adaptor? I've been trying to put my own together and a WRX specific size adaptor seems to be the hardest part to source.

they told me around $81 for the adaptor (parts# 3502ERL).

I'm not dealer so you have to contact Earl's shop in your area to get it.

I will not organize group buy for each piece.

I will organize group buy as whole oil cooler kit (that is much easier than selling piece by piece)

I'm just doing this so everybody can get benefit of good price.

Thanks

Since you are doing this non-profit, could you also post the part numbers of the parts that will come in the kit? I'm interested, but I'm still researching other options.

brief spec

- same dimention as STi cooler with 34 Row (10.5x9) -43410ERL
or 25 Row(7.75x9) -42510ERL.

- AN 10 fitting (90deg - 8090XXERL, straight - 8001XXERL) I have not decide what to use.

-stainless line -Perform-O-Flex with some insulation Insulation (flame guard insulation 1600C) - -Flame Guard Insulation 7300XXERL.

-sandwitch adaptor with thermostat (Open 160F, Fully Open 180F) - 3502ERL.

-mounting hardware -1825ERL.

All parts come from Earl's parts shop.

XX part of the number will be size of hose 06 to 16.

I'm still planning this kit with reasonable price and max efficient.

Also, I want hear peoples opinion what parts should include/not include in this kit.

Since I'm doing this for non-profit, please don't use this info for commercial use.

Thanks

Taka:)
