Impreza STi engine swap

Ok I know this topic is probably already been blown out but I need to know myself. I know the Impreza and the WRX are basically the same vehicle with different engine layouts. My question is, how difficult would it be to swap a full STi engine and tranny into a stock Impreza? Reason I'm asking, I've found multiple 07 imprezas for cheap and I've reaserched and seen where you can purchase an STi engine and tranny for $4000. If the conversion isn't crazy hard I could have an STi for less than $10,000. Another question. Would the suspension be totally different on an STi?
I've wanted an STi/wrx for as long as I can remember and I'm just trying to find a way to make it happen.

You'll likely need more than that, you are going to need to hodge podge together different year components depending on what year chassis you have, you'll need suspension, modifications, hubs, brakes, drive shafts, half shafts, differentials, custom wiring harness.

Basically with the time and money you would save so much money just buying an STI.
Buy the car you actually want. Don't attempt to assemble one.
