Hi i remebering reading somewhere u can dump ice on ur intercooler, it cools it down and more cold air enters which is good. People do this at the trackor when racing.

Please tell me if this is unsafe or stupid.

Thanks
Tom

yeah, it's a good thing to chill your IC, but make sure you leave it in a bag because if there is ice on your intercooler when you try to drive, it will act as a restriction for air flow and will prevent cool air from flowing all over the fins.

there are also N2O and CO2 kits available that will spray cold gas onto it to chill it.

Hey guys, check out my idea towards the bottom of this thread and tell me if you think it will work better than ice. I believe it should work awesome but what do you guys think?
Just scroll down like 11 or 12 posts:

Might be a little pricey to set it up(Like$50 if you can find the stuff used) but if you are a diehard track racer or a paintball player and already have the equipment, you should be fine. I just think it would work great, I'm just not sure how track personnel will feel about it.
