Hi there! I'm currently driving an 07 n/a Hawkeye and it's a project car of mine. Before I start, I know it is more efficient and cost-effective if I just purchase a wrx, however I am purely doing this swap for fun and for the learning experience. I'm not concerned about the cost.
After that being said, can anyone provide me with a list of parts I would need to swap a 2.5i n/a? I want to know so I can buy from a part out and/or make sure the donor car I purchase has everything I would need.

I currently have the transmission, exhaust, and air intake.

All of it minus the chassis.

It's cheaper to buy the whole car though. So you can buy the WRX, swap everything into the Impreza and sell the shell. Or, hear me out buy the WRX.

Lol definitely can't afford the insurance rn. Definitely will simply buy a wrx one day, but I am set in stone about the swap too

Then there is no way you can afford this project. It's a 30k dollar investment easily

if it means alot to you then you will make it happen but like XJ said its not gonna be anywhere close to cheap and probably not gonna be "worth" the effort. If you're already worried about insurance prices this project is already too much. But hey we have all invested money into something we are passionate about that others might say is not the best idea.
