I have a 2016 WRX and it just started making bumping noises from the drivers side rear.
I lifted the car up and I noticed that I think it is the trailing arm that broke.
I posted pictures here so I make sure I am right about this.
I don't think it is called a lower control arm.
Also if you know how hard this is to replace?
Bolt torque settings?
Bushings?
Please let me know.
Thanks.

First picture is the part not broken.
Second picture is the broken part.

I can't imagine it being difficult, however I've done a lot of that kind of thing over the years.

As for what you need I'm not sure, it may be worth taking a trip to Subaru, or an independent shop that is familiar with the vehicle and having them order what you need. They should be able to get you torque specs if you can't find the factory service manual by googling.

As for the name, it's called a trailing arm as far as I'm aware.

Hello.
Yes I just replaced the trailing arm.
Not difficult.
Take the wheel off and the two bolts are in easy reach.
Took them off and replaced the trailing arm.
Tighten up and that is it.
Works great now.
