I am wondering if anybody has had this one: Process West Verticooler Top Mount Intercooler for 2008-14 Subaru WRX (Black Finish)
Is it any good? are there better ones? which one is best?
I dont want to make an insane amount of horsepower I mainly want to get a new one cause mine is damaged, and i might aswell upgrade if im replacing.

Although not as popular as the ones you listed I have a new Spearco kit I'm selling. I'll message you details.

The verticooler is an interesting concept. Divided opinions on it, although those who use it seem to like it. If you're planning to upgrade your turbo you can run into fitment issues. A guy on NASIOC recently struggled with the same.

Lastly avoid mIsHiMoTo at all costs. Theirs was shown to hurt performance. There's a whole thread on it on NASIOC.

In addition to the above comments I will say I recently got a grimmspeed Intercooler for my 16 wrx and it is a work of art! Definitely high quality.

In all our TMIC testing, the Spearco beats all but one that is not available yet

Although, if you're looking on a budget, the OEM VA STi TMIC is very good. We've run them to ~500whp without issue. It still beat all the other TMICs, except Spearco.

How does the VA STi tmic compare to VB wrx?

Also, any guesses as to why subaru went to side end tanks on FA20 and went back to top/bottom end tanks like EJ series on FA24?

No way of knowing, they can't be tested and compared on the same car/engine.
