How do you read the ECU codes on subarus? Do I need a special device to plug in? What ever happened to counting the number of times the ECU light blinks, he, he :) If a device is needed how much is it and where to buy? Thanks guys.

they're expensive, but if you run a search for OBD II scanner you should find something on the site.

why not just run it to the dealer. it takes 5 minutes for them to pull your code and/or clear it.

My dealership was "too busy" to pull my codes when I just stopped by and I had to make an appointment just for that! Bleh :(

I believe Autozone is currently doing OBDII reads for free for a while (at least that's what I heard)

If you have a laptop, you can get the ALex Peper software pretty cheap. They were doing group buys in the i-club for $73. IMO, it's worth it.:)
