Hey guys I have a turbo xs stage 4 ..hks uppie..turbo xs down pipe..vf34..utec..injectors..pump..short ram.. and larger tmic.
but I was alittle unhappy with sound my exhaust.. I mean I race the car all the time and in low gear the car make farty noises rather than deep. so since I always race the car I decided to make an exhaust.. I used 2.5 inch pipe and kept it as straight as possible ... and no cat..welded up a o2 bung and everything, but the car seem a bit down on power

I figured that it was the backpressure
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what pressure the exhaust should run than I would weld in a pressure gage and monitor it and try and tune it with baffles

Thanks for any help

not needed

You don't "want" or "need" back pressure in your system.

You changed the hardware configuration so the tuning needs to be tweaked -- the change in exhaust gas back pressure has probably changed both the boost profile and possibly your AFR's.

From TXS web page on the Utec.

Does the UTEC need to be periodically retuned?

Not unless you modify your car. For example, if your UTEC is tuned for a stock WRX and you add a turbo-back exhaust, you will need to retune the UTEC for best performance.
