I picked up a Carbonetic 1.5way and am wondering how many miles it will be good for before needing a rebuild.

First question, why are you replacing the differential, and second which differential are you repacing? Front or Rear?

Gotcha, just wanted to make sure this replacement was warranted is all.

Do you intend to have this car strictly for track or autox racing? If not, you may have just spent way more money than you needed to...

Those diffs are great for track racing, but they're just WAY overkill for the standard car. Life expectancy isn't exactly long on those units either. I've read be happy with 20,000 miles.

Well, I think you went way overboard there, personally. But so long as you are happy with it, that's all that matters. You're going to need to worry more about your center diff than anything else with snow drifting. It's EXTREMELY hard on center differentials. Remember you have to pay to play, just be prepared for some more expenses if you beat on it.

Be safe.
