I was driving home from work yesterday in probably 85-90 degree weather. I got home had dinner then about an hour after I got home I decided to wash my car. I started to spray it with water and when I sprayed water on the hood some of it dripped down to the turbo/turbo heat shield and steam started to come out of the hood scoop. As soon as water touched the turbo/turbo heat shield it just boiled off and turned to steam. I have been driving really hard a few times since I got the car but I don't think the turbo has ever felt this hot before. Has anyone else noticed this when the temp. outside is really high, close to 90.
