what's your VIN. It will tell you what model you have. The year will also tell you. I beleive that they only built them in 07

Yes, you do have a TR. You have the tr sideskirts, the unpainted sidemirrors, and the "bench" seats out of an impreza (haha...joke...).

No worries tho, slap on some springs, some corbeau racing seats and you are good to go!

The unpainted mirrors are a dead give away. I personally have no problem with the seat, but I hear a fair amount of *****ing and moaning over them. Nice car either way.

Personally I love the seats. Sure they are not the prettiest girls at the dance, but they sure are comfortable. I have owned racing seats in a previous car and these are a nice change.

You want ugly seats....look at VW's offerings in the MK3/A3 line. They looked like bad late 80's early 90's sofas. You could even get them with "Tom and Jerry" cartoon pattern. At best they looked like Al Borlans favorite flannel.

So is the main complaint the TR seats the ugly factor? I could understand that a little.
Thats what I always hear. Having taken 5+ 600 mile trips in them, I can say they are very comfortable and don't make your butt numb/back hurt.

If I raced my car around road courses or was heavy into autocross I might get racing seats just for the harness mounting convenience. I had harnesses in my old car and loved how secure they kept you in the seat. But to be fair, I'd probably swap out even STI seats for the racing ones in that situation.

Definitely a TR, and personally I love the TR seats - they still have the same size bolsters that the regular '06-'07 WRX's and STi's have (all previous models had the same size too i think?). All that's missing is the fixed head rest for harnesses. Why are they ugly?

Plus black seats w/ grey bolsters looks sweet in an urban gray car :p
