I recently got a 2018 WRX and Im already shopping around for a winter setup. Anyway, I found a used set 17x7.5 40mm offset with 235/45/17 tires. Will this setup fit well on a stock car. Please let me know. Thanks a lot.

It's not ideal, but it's not terrible either.

If you can, find something closer to OEM specs. If not, it will work in a pinch.

That's the size I run...older STI wheels. Looks pretty good too. Not sure of the offset though.

Need to make sure the bolt pattern and distances match up.

I sort of lucked into these used tires/rims, but knowing what I know now I would really want to go with Tire Rack or a reputable dealer, as picking the wrong rims could be an expensive mistake.

Also, if you are running older STI wheels and have not converted to 5x100 hubs (why on earth would you?), your wheels are 17x8.
