i was cleaning out my car today and finally went through my glove compartment. this is what i found:

1. wrx manual
2. my listed sticker from day one
3. expired insurance cards
4. AAA motor club card
5. 2-"Jimmy Eat World" tickets for a upcoming sold out show
6. Un-open mail
7. Starbucks napkins
8. Red pen
9. Hair ties
10. Bottled water
11. Ipass (for tolls)
12. phone charger

what's in everyone else's compartment?

-Utec Manual
-mini survival kit in a tin can
-Suby manual thingy w/o manual
-tire pressure gauge
-radar detector and mount
-air freshener spray
-bunch of useless papers and receipts

This is all without actually looking in my glove box.

Are you kidding?

Don't keep anything in your car with your name or any personal info on it. If someone steels the car they get to steal your identity too if they want.

Cover VIN. # Thieves can write down the number, and get keys made for it if the dealership or locksmith lets them.

Keep your registration in your wallet not in the car. If you must, just keep a copy of the registration in your car with name and address blacked out and write on it, Owner carries registration".

All I have in my glove compartment is the WRX manual.

Not true. You need VIN, proof of ownership, and a valid I.D. I work at a car dealership.

Assorted lease papers and receipts from previous owner
Registration and insurance card
Accessport
Accessport little connector thingies
Polishing rag and very small bottle of speed shine
Assorted cd's bouncing around and getting scratched
pen
2 screwdrivers (phillips and flathead)
Small vice-grips
8mm 10mm 12mm and 14mm wrenches

Edit: thats my wrx...my other cars, God only knows whats in them:D

Yes, but...

Yes, Mike we need those things to drive. I just suggested that it might not be a good idea to leave them in the car. The VIN never leaves the car. I just cover it up. Registration in my wallet. ID in my wallet.

OOOps! Need to Edit for an ArmREst

Armrest:

Upper Armrest:

bunch of change
listerine pockets
earpiece for cellphone
bottle oppener (lol)

Packrat fessin here:

a pen
a pack of matches
a pinch of tissues
a microfiber towel
a sheet of stickers from cbs.nu
8 cds some in cases or a sleeve, or not
2 cassettes - 1 cassette case
2 blue post it note paks
the owners manual in pouch and w/service records

and last, but not least... a chunky scratch pad!
