Thanks!! I'm in Bloomington. I'd love to find some more people from IL that wanna go for a drive sometime!Congrats. You're going to have a hell of a time keeping that car clean.
Where at in central IL? I live in the Alton/Godfrey area, which is like an outer suburbs of St. Louis. Also, did you purchase a manual or a CVT?

Lol! I would love to see more girls get into it. Sadly none of my girl friends even know what a WRX is, so my excitement is being shared with all of my guy friends.Welcome aboard. Glad to see more ladies rolling in. It was really becoming a sausage fest in here.
The cvt is a great choice for a daily driver, smooth shifts, plenty of power delivery, and you don’t have to fiddle with shifting everywhere in traffic. There are several members who have them and really I’ve heard less complaints about it than I have the manual.

Bloomington is a nice place to live. I went to the Illinois State Police Academy with three good guys who are Bloomington cops. Thanks!! I'm in Bloomington. I'd love to find some more people from IL that wanna go for a drive sometime!
I ended up getting the CVT because I do a lot of in-town driving with quite a bit of stop and go traffic. Although the manual is more fun, the CVT is a lot more practical for me as a daily.
Not sure yet. I know I want to get a Cobb AP and would like to get a new exhaust, but I haven’t thought too much about it yet. I’ve just been in bliss that I even own one lol.fair enough. any mods planned? Thanks - happy to be here! While this car is still under break-in, this is a no-no...:nono: Fight the temptation!... Even my sister commented on how smooth the ride is, even when I'm flooring it :rotfl:
Oh that's really neat! Bloomington isn't too bad - I just hate the weather lol. I'm so little that I'm just always cold.Bloomington is a nice place to live. I went to the Illinois State Police Academy with three good guys who are Bloomington cops.
I could never figure out why people would get the CVT until recently. My STI has been at the dealership for a week with warranty work and they gave me an Impreza Sport to drive as a loaner. It's a far cry from the WRX, but it's still actually pretty fun to drive. The convenience of not having to shift is nice. Although, I do find it a lot easier to accidentally speed when you don't have to pay attention as much while rowing the gears. I drive like a grandpa in my STI since I have to be more attentive.
