Greddy Evo2 kinda broke on me the other day (mid-pipe busted) so I am in the market for a new exhaust. Found a good deal on a Bosal 3" twin tip but I am just wondering if anyone can confirm if this will mate properly to an HKS non-bellmouth downpipe. They're both 3" so I can't imagine there being a problem, but I want to be safe prior to purchasing.
I'll sell you my Cobb Catback.

It's on my car still (that's the only downside)
It's been on the wagon for about a year now.
shoot me a line if you'd like.
I will part with it cuz I need some extra cash for school.
Also have an Invidia catless (bellmouth) that I wanna get rid of.

If the Bosal and the HKS mate, what kind of offspring will they have? Will it be bellmouth?

Seriously though, this sounds like a perfect opportunity to replace the downpipe with a bellmouth model. You usually can get a deal on a downpipe if you're buying a catback too. Why didn't you get a bellmouth one originally? If you do end up going with products from different manufacturers (or even if you don't), then pick up some of these gaskets. They're not much more than the OEM gaskets or any other ones I've found:

They're the best I've found and should help solve any mating issues. If they don't, then get yourself a bottle of Viagra and some KY jelly.

I went with the HKS because it is cheap and TONS of data backs up the fact that on the stock turbo a bellmouth downpipe will do nothing extra for your car compared to the HKS non-bellmouth.

The reason I don't get a TBE package is because the catback (bosal twin tip) I am going to pickup is used. He has a helix downpipe to mate with it, but I don't want to spend another $150 when I have a perfectly fine HKS hooked up.

If it's just the mid pipe have you considered going to an exhaust shop and having them make you a new mid pipe. If you find someone who can do mandrel bends I dont think a rather straigt midpipe would be all that hard for them.

It's not just the midpipe I bought... I bought the whole Bosal catback.

I still have the Evo2 axleback but the midpipe fell off. I tried to just get the midpipe replaced and have pipe bent to fit the flange for a custom midpipe but any performance shops that would do it were going to charge me nearly double what I paid for my bosal catback (everyone was quoting $400-$500). I tried to go to muffler shops like Midas, Merlin's, meineke but none of them would work on my car because it is catless and they were afraid of getting fined by the state.

I ended up buying the Bosal catback though... Too good of a deal to pass up. I just hope it mates to my HKS downpipe, but I guess we"ll see. They are both 3" and both specified for my year and model... Hope it all works out because i've been driving my dads lifted and modded Dodge Ram lately (1.5 weeks) and the thing is a gosh damn boat!

Dave: I am not entirely sure how I lost it. I know I had a small exhaust leak from the midpipe rusting and one day during a heavy blizzard my throttle started to stick and my car got CRAZY CRAZY loud and everything was vibrating. I got to my g/f's house and looked under the car and my midpipe was gone and the only thing holding on the axleback was my kartboy hanger :rotfl:
Thank God BrianH gave me those kartboy hangers... It was on the stock hanger I probably would have lost that too. At least now I can try to sell the axleback for a slight bit of cash.
